Message Okay, well, it's been a while and I'm back for advice, as the title states. I'm still in love with the car, it's just as a college student I've become more of a realist over the past couple years. Well, I've got two jobs now, a new apartment, school is going well, and everything is finally settling down in life.

So, I've been casually looking. I know it would still be an iffy decision to buy one now, unless I found a good deal. So, along comes a decent deal. My father stopped and looked at one near his work, a 1993 300zx. Of course, I'd love to have a 5spd TT, but I also need to keep at least a portion of the "realist" part of me. I'm not used to power, and not used to constant maintenance, so I figure it's better to go at it slowly.

The car...

A red 1993 300zx 2+0, naturally aspirated, automatic with 130,000 miles. It also has some (according to my father, yet again) minor dings on parts of the body, which obviously come with the mileage. I have yet to talk to the owner, but my father did and gave me what details he asked after. The t-tops don't leak, the original bags are with them, the original titanium key is still with the owner. The owner had originally bought it as a parts car for his TT conversion for his convertible, as there was a minor incident with the front end. Well, he apparently started driving it back and forth to the mountains on the weekends, and (I'm assuming) decided to keep it. So he fixed what damage was there, and kept it. Well, the owner says he needs to sell it to complete the convertible TT converstion, so here I am now.

I don't want to skew opinions with what he is asking, but, given the information and that it has been taken care of, what would be a fair price to offer.

Forgive me for being slightly brief, and not knowing a lot of the information that I would like to know. I will be taking it to a local nissan mechanic I know, if the price turns out to be fair just for peace of mind.

Thanks TT.net.

William
